While we’re on the topic of modesty and celebrations, here are some highlights of Islam Slimani, the 27-year-old Muslim striker from Algeria whose loud and intense goal celebrations are almost as entertaining as the goals themselves.

Last year, Slimani helped the Algerian national team to the round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the country’s history. So far this season, he has nine goals in 13 appearances for his club team, Sporting CP of Primeira Liga in Portugal.
